That has to be the single worst spot for MSU to have injury issues. Just theoretically, if it were to last, it'd arguably be worse than Brian Lewerke sitting out the year.
I think Cole Chewins needs an * at this point.  It's a multiple year back issue.  That's not getting better.  I certainly hope they weren't planning on getting anything from him this year.  A.J. Arcuri was a game time surprise.  He was dressed, and expected to be fine.  I wonder if it wasn't Tulsa,. if he goes.

How did the line compensate for Arcuri/Chewins being out -- did younger tackles step in or did interior guys step out?

Slid a guard out on the right side, played Luke Campbell, the #3 OT on the left

ELA - The Spartan offense - is that more due to injuries, recruiting or play calling?I know they had injuries and substitutions and many penalties but not a good start.Someone should let MD know that Matt Canada is available
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.

All of the above.  The OL is bad, and injuries have made it worse.  It's hard to tell how much else is a result of that issue.

The only playcalling adjustments I noticed is that it seems like they took the 2018 playbook and just removed the terrible plays and personnel usage that drove fans crazy.  I didn't otherwise notice anything different.  The announcers made a big deal about tempo, but they used tempo at times last year too.

The lack of speed and athleticism, most notably at RB, is also apparent too.  That's why Collins, I hope, takes the job.  Jefferson is more of an H back, and Heyward, blah.
