I definitely don't think Mateer is everything the media want him to be. He's had some very good games but tends to disappear against good defenses.

I'm hopeful that trend continues in the Cotton Bowl this year.
yeah he's definitely not, but in his defense their OL kinda blows. they can't run the ball effectively and Michigan's EDGE rushers absolutely abused their tackles. Michigan is legit loaded at EDGE rusher.

Quick reality ✔️, Nichols registered 1.5 sacks during Michigan's season opener against Western Michigan and added 0.5 sacks in the Wolverines' 17-10 victory over Oklahoma. There's no sunshine pumpers in AA at all is there?

that is from an NFL Draft page, not a Michigan fan page FYI.

have not checked the stats but have watched both games- and Nichols has definitely jumped off the screen. he was the defensive crown jewel of the 2024 class- Coach Skirt Chaser singled Nichols out as a future superstar after the 2024 fall camp. he dabbled as RS Frosh in 2025 but looks like he's on track for a breakout in 2026 as a RS Soph.

Michigan is pretty loaded at EDGE rusher.  porthole transfer John Henry Daley is a freaking DUDE, Nichols looks like he's about to breakout, Cam Brandt is a really solid 5th year guy, they have a 5* from the 2025 class in Nate Marshall, a 5* from the 2026 class in Carter Meadows, and then RS Soph. Lugard Edokpayi might be the biggest freak show of them all at 6'7+, 260+ lbs with 84"+ wingspan.

They got talent up the wazoo at EDGE rusher.

So you ran with it because it pimped your product,NO doubt from behind a blue wall with rooting interest

Their opening statement proclaims and I Quote "Your Most Reliable Source on NFL, NCAA, and NFL Draft News, Film, and Opinions"

So they've just flat out lied twice - once about Nichols stats and that they are reliable & accurate. It took me one click to refute that graffiti I must be a facking rock of journalistic integrity to dig that up right away so you just might as well start quoting me :D

I mean you can say that all you want it does not make it true. I prefer Lloyd Carr as a personality and his approach over Jeem. All day long. Jeem is in outer space. He’s still a better football coach. Very few have at the kind of success he’s had at every level of football.
The guy who took a pay cut to avoid getting fired, and then cheated his ass off, and quit before the NCAA banned him?

Nah, Ill take Carr

I'll take Carr, no one assumed he cheated
