IMO the 97 degrees at K.O. might have favored the Horns slightly when the normal average summer high temperature in Columbus, Ohio was 84°F. They were gassed at the end

It was brutally hot no doubt.  Even in the 4th quarter it was still probably 86 or 87 degrees.

The other thing that boggles my mind is how the bookies in Vegas get this stuff so correct so often.  Be over and under for the game was 47 points and Ohio State was a one and a half point underdog    😳😳
The wise guys didn't get the money to build all those fancy casinos by being wrong.  

I agree, astonishing how often they get it this close:
  • Texas -1.5, wins by 1.  
  • O/U 47, total final 47.
