Foreign interference in the election...
« on: August 07, 2020, 09:17:06 PM »
U.S. intelligence shows that Russia is trying to "denigrate" Joe Biden, and China prefers that President Trump lose reelection, while Iran is trying to undermine U.S. democratic institutions and the president ahead of the election, CBS News Intelligence and National Security Reporter Olivia Gazis reports. That is the assessment as described by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the head of the U.S. intelligence community, in an update released Friday on foreign interference efforts less than three months before the presidential election. On Russia, ODNI says Russia is using a "range of measures" to "primarily denigrate" Biden, consistent with Moscow's past criticism of him.

"For example, pro-Russia Ukrainian parliamentarian Andriy Derkach is spreading claims about corruption - including through publicizing leaked phone calls - to undermine former Vice President Biden's candidacy and the Democratic Party," ODNI says. "Some Kremlin-linked actors are also seeking to boost President Trump's candidacy on social media and Russian television." On China, ODNI says Bejing sees Mr. Trump as "unpredictable," and the communist country has grown increasingly critical of the president's rhetoric. ODNI assesses that Iran is trying to undermine and divide the country and will likely rely on social media disinformation. Iran believes Mr. Trump's reelection would result in a continuation of the pressure campaign against Iran.

So Russia wants Trump?  China wants Biden?
Who wins between Russia and China?
I'm sure a lot of American voters are wanting to know who Russia or China prefers before they cast their vote....

Have you ever seen him complain about our interference in other countries ekections, including our alles?
President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

Just waiting for Cincy to chime in to say it doesn't matter to him (not going to change his life either way).

U.S. intelligence shows that Russia is trying to "denigrate" Joe Biden.

Does that technically make Biden an agent of Russia? Because he already does that himself.

the advent of @Volbrigade/oU rejoining us has led to me upwinding my posts... apologies. sorta.

i read a book about business relationships when i was young and launching my first business... it stated there were three types of partners, with a fourth so rare it didn't rate but a brief mention.

the premise was simple.

  • one tells you they aren't going to screw you over but are leveraging for that from the onset.
  • one has no intention to screw you over but greed being a part of human nature wins out in the end.
  • one tells you straight up they are going to come after you from the start.
  • (the rare one is the one of their word and doesn't screw you even when it's easy or even smart)

an aside: you'd think family is the one you can trust *4th kind.. but they aren't.

who would you rather deal with? who is the most honest of the three (or four) kinds of partnerships?

  • Russia, by my reckoning, would rather deal with Trump.  There are no surprises- they know Trump is in it for himself (and we- at least the smart American voters- know so long as he is successful we are, too).
  • China, are deceivers and literally view integrity as a liability.  They want who they can corrupt- they've always preferred the left, who have shifted to being nothing but a reflection of China anyway.
  • Nations of Islam want Islam in power plain and simple, and the weakest opposition to their 'games', which isn't gong to be trump.
  • Most South American Countries, who have really came on strong right under our noses in the last 20 years, don't give a damn.  They will do what's best for them- and many are aligning with Russia while others are aligned with the EU, and some with China...
  • the EU which the freakin' UK is still a part of enjoyed, but to a lessor degree, having American politicians of status in their back pocket... they'd rather the left.

Russia is generally supremely pragmatic and always have been.  China is corrupt in every sense, ripping people off in manufacturing and stealing both trade and military secrets to build themselves up (leveraging corruption in many cases to do so).  Iran and the house of Saud are opposing, but united in their disdain and pseudo hatred of the west- they really don't hate the west (at the top of Islam), they just need the west as a common enemy to unite the politics of Islam which seeks power- and use religion as a means to exert power over their own.

again: who would you rather be partnered with of the three(four) presented?

now think of it from 'their' perspective... think of it from our perspective both domestic and international.

using the profiles offered by the author of that book i mentioned, you can align countries to the same categories.  and, it's fairly transparent....

the absolute key to success is to maintain value... value is strength... it places you (or your country) in a position that makes you indispensable for any other nation.... which is where America was and where we need to be, again...

who is the best choice for our leadership in that light?

there is only one choice in November.

There is a lot of foreign interference in our elections.  It's by the democrats registering illegal aliens in their states allowing them to vote.
