I doubt "science" has ever considered such a thing.  The OB usually announces, if you don't know ahead of time "It's a BOY!" etc. by quick examination of external body parts.  Maybe on rare occasion it's unclear, I know hermaphroditism can happen, however you spell that, but rarely.

Journalism today doesn’t suck.

It blows.

It blows an incessant hurricane-force wind of Godless lies, misrepresentations, mischaracterizations, misinformation, and fraudulent shit of various varieties — bull, dog, horse, bat, you name it.  As well as insanity and irrationality.

What’s changed is that the current generations have been so saturated in the Godless/Leftist/Materialist/Whateverist propaganda, that they truly have no standard or instrument by which to gauge and differentiate lies from truth.  There is the category of “what is”, the sole criterion of which is “what we want it to be”.  Men are women, rioters are protesters, Western Civilization is “racist”, two men can marry, microbes became men… whatever.  Whatever deranged absurdity is required to preserve their infantile “safe spaces”.

Mark my words, gentlemen.  And mark them well.

The old farts on here represent the last vestiges of anything resembling societal reason and rationality (and, let’s face it. We ain’t exactly avatars in that regard, by and large…) …  Let alone common sense and truth.  It simply will not exist as a societal commodity, the way it was the guiding informative force of previous generations.

The Boomer generation lost the plot.  And lost the farm.  The utter ignorance and mediocrity and worthlessness of their successors and progeny is an inexorably certain outcome.

There are exceptions, of course.  But they better be strong.  They will be ostracized, cancelled, and persecuted by the mindless super majority.

And we just gettin’ started good!

Whee…

I think "we" will muddle through for a few more decades.  It won't be pretty of course, but it will be so-so.

The stock market continues to "like" stuff, part of me thinks it's inflation of assets.

Inflation was up 1% last month vs 0.5% expected.

One in five have both shots, a third have one shot of the COVID vaccine.  Europe continues to struggle with COVID.

And the king of tepid blandness continues to struggle with finding anything interesting to say.

Don't read it then.  Life, largely, is bland and uneventful.  The future mostly will be bland and uneventful with occasional Black Swan events.  We had 8 years of Obama and the wheels didn't fall off.

A curious thing.
A man spends 37K posts saying that there isn't much to say.
Go figure.

If our smears aren't working, we'll simply work hard to silence him.  The more they hate him, the more I'm likely to support him if decides to run for President.

The majority of my posts are about football on the rest of this site.  And in fact, message boards tend to "blow up" hyperbole about events, and perhaps it's rational to have one voice suggesting it's really not all that major or much or terrible.    As I've noted many times, I saw folks hysterical, literally, about how Obama would destroy the nation and he didn't (hasn't), even though you may well think he didn't help any and hurt some, we're still here.

I think the real peril would be a leader who is very persuasive and debonair and eloquent with nefarious ideas on power and the ability to subvert same.  Fortunately, I think, the vast majority of our politicians are simply not very bright, they are "stand ins" for others.

We'll muddle along as we have for decades now.

You really have no idea what’s going on.

Nor what it means.  Either for the present; the near future; or the things that must shortly (rapidly) come to pass.

I almost envy you.

But not really.

It is telling, however, that the only time I feel any motivation to respond to one of your posts — which are redundantly numerous — is to point out that you never say anything worth saying.

To each his own…

President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

Well, I had not known that, interesting indeed.  I'm not sure why this fascination with numbers of posts exists, but it's fine with me.
