I was wondering what Romney's deal was.

Quite high if having powerful American contacts who can provide valuable business introductions is good for business.

I'm sure if you asked a guy like Trump, he could explain to you how it all works.

Now.  What are the odds that Trump held up the $400 million in military aid for no other reason than he was simply "concerned about (former, presently irrelevant) corruption" in Ukraine, and that it had nothing to do with Biden's current political aspirations to take Trump's job?

President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

The thing is, given there is/was corruption, and it concerns our shady elected officials - who cares if Trump withheld money to get to the bottom of it?  Which is more critical to our country?

The Left is framing an argument that wins with the Law, but loses with the People.  Never mind that it can't be upheld by evidence.

This of course is a largely false FB meme that folks believe because they want to, not because it is true.

The problem is that Trump's agenda was self-serving, and by showing that he was willing to hold up $400 million in military aid, it was pretty clear to Zelensky what that "investigation" needed to find.  If Trump was sincere, he would have called for a legitimate investigation, rather than going behind closed doors the way he did.  Even Moscow Mitch didn't know about it.

Which is more critical to our country?

Most are saying it's abuse of power and bribery by the POTUS.

Never mind that it can't be upheld by evidence.

How much more evidence to you need?

Good grief you're such a friggin moron it was Joe Biden who directly threatened the Ukrainians to withhold money not Trump.  It's on tape want to see it again?

You keep posting that same lie that 400 million was held to get the Bidens investigated when everyone knows that wasn't the case especially since the Ukrainians didn't even know the money had been withheld.

Since you're so adamant Trump withheld the money for the reason you say would you care to make odds say 100-1 in favor it and bet a large sum of money on it?

In addition to the Ukrainians not knowing the aid was withheld..there was never an investigation started.
There was no quid pro quo either way. There was no favor granted or received.
Now if you want to discuss the Bidens...you have a case. But we all know Fuzz has no interest in Democrat corruption.
Now if you want to know why Obama held up aid to the Ukraine...you might have another curious question.
If Fuzz were practical he would move on....he's experienced another wasted wet dream.
What about jaywalking ?

The problem is that Trump's agenda was self-serving,

The Left can't seem to accept that Trump being President is hardly self-serving.  This is why they can't take him out - a higher Court won't allow it.  Trump wants to salvage this country.  The Left just can't conceive of anything noble.  Inconceivable.

and by showing that he was willing to hold up $400 million in military aid, it was pretty clear to Zelensky what that "investigation" needed to find.

These dots only connect in a world of biased conjecture.  You need evidence.

If Trump was sincere, he would have called for a legitimate investigation, rather than going behind closed doors the way he did.

Oh yeah, the Swamp would have been all over that.  You're not getting this.

Even Moscow Mitch didn't know about it.

Fine with me.  When it comes to "swamp", rule out nobody.

Which is more critical to our country?

Most are saying it's abuse of power and bribery by the POTUS.

It's other countries buying off our economy at the hands of corrupt politicians.  I don't care what we have to do to ferret this out.

Never mind that it can't be upheld by evidence.

How much more evidence to you need?

ANY.

..who is presently looking into Ukraine corruption. Trump was simply asking the Ukraine to assist Durham  in the investigation. Durham is Assistant Attorney General who has worked under multiple presidents and has done investigations under multiple presidents.

If Trump was sincere, he would have called for a legitimate investigation, rather than going behind closed doors the way he did.
