May be a cartoon of text
President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

Who is focusing in blacks getting killed.
Cite examples of white people.
Do you ever protest people regardless of skin color killing police?
There was a white kid killed in my courthouse, oh about two years ago. The deputy who killed him still works there.

I don't protest people killing the police, and most people don't, because in nearly every circumstance the person who kills a cop will be incarcerated for the rest of his life and perhaps put to death. What more do you want from the government on that issue?

Eh, that's a chicken and egg thing.

So the reason people are videoing the killings (more of which are "good") is because of the protests?

In fact, lots of them are on video that you never see because there is no public outcry that forces their release.

Lots?  I bet there are zero.  ANYONE with video of a cop killing a black citizen is getting that thing viral within 24 hours.  The public doesn't cry out for their release - the media rushes to get them to their public for clicks.  They public doesn't know anything about it until social media goes to work mobilizing the mob.

A protest should never in any way modify an investigation of a police shooting.  If it does, it's a terrible thing in my view.

Deputy's fatal courthouse shooting of teen ruled justifiable - News - The Columbus Dispatch - Columbus, OH
Deputy's fatal courthouse shooting of teen ruled justifiable - News - The Columbus Dispatch - Columbus, OH

It was taken to a Grand Jury, in addition to an internal review of course.

The Franklin County Sheriff's office said one shot was fired, striking Joseph Haynes, 16, in the abdomen.
The teenager, who was facing a gun charge, died about 30 minutes later.
The deputy was called into the courtroom after "de-escalation tactics" had failed and was "violently attacked by multiple people" on Wednesday afternoon, Mr Ferrell said.
"He is there to protect every person in the courthouse including himself", Mr Ferrell continued, adding that "countless" people could have lost their lives if the suspect had taken the officer's weapons.

Franklin County Chief Deputy Rick Minerd also said the deputy had been "knocked to the ground as part of that altercation, where he came under attack from some of the folks that were involved - family members".

A lawyer who represented the teenager in court told the Columbus Dispatch that the fight broke out after the judge's sentence was read.
"Joseph was a little out of sorts because of how things went at the hearing," Jennifer Brisco said.
"The officer threatened to lock him up and a scuffle broke out. Joseph was resisting and that's when there was a scuffle," she added.
But Hayne's grandmother, Geraldine Haynes, told the newspaper that her grandson was not resisting when he was shot and questioned why the officer did not deploy a stun-gun.
She added that the attack began after a confrontation between Hayne's mother and the deputy.

Aljazerra LMFAO no details just suggestions

Murder is murder it does not matter who is doing it against whom, however self defense and defense of others is justified.

No, what I mean is the protests are more likely to arise when the people see a video and don't like it. That's why they protest. Not always, but certainly they are connected.

Do you remember the LaQuan McDonald shooting? It was initially described as justified, but that was changed thirteen months(!) later when a court ordered a dashcam video of the shooting released to the public, and the cop who shot him was eventually prosecuted and convicted.

Even if it makes the investigator work harder? And be more detailed?

This is typically the kind of gobbledygook we get. Who the hell knows what happened here - the police aren't that interested in figuring out, other than there was some sort of confrontation and the deputy was "violently attacked" by mysterious unnamed combatants. The main thing is "just trust us, this was justified."

By work harder, do you mean toe the line of the premature media narrative, to ensure the city doesn't burn to the ground?

Because that's what it seems like happens after the media narrative blitz taints things.

Is there no courtroom video of this incident ?

I'd like to see the tape to make a determination.

That's the problem, their confirmation bias leads them to see a good kill (how did I end up using that phrase?) and protest anyway.  Doesn't matter if the cop was justified - if they victim's black then racism is to blame and cities must burn.

Sorry, I just happen to think that's the wrong approach (I'm imitating you there).

Do you remember the LaQuan McDonald shooting? It was initially described as justified, but that was changed thirteen months(!) later when a court ordered a dashcam video of the shooting released to the public, and the cop who shot him was eventually prosecuted and convicted.

I don't remember that one.  My contention is that it was the video that prompted justice to be done, not the self-righteous anarchists and social media posers making a mockery of the work of their grandparents in the 60's.

Preferably not. Preferably, you get an actual report on what happened, why it happened, how the investigators arrived at these conclusions, as opposed to a some word salad about how the cop was right, which is what we usually get.

No - it didn't actually happen in the courtroom but in a hallway outside the courtroom.
