Using the left's own "logic"

False premise - the left isn't an ideological or intellectual monolith.

It pretty much is fuzz.  The narrative was carried by every Dimstream outlet, as well as social media.  Have you not seen the video compilations of Dimstream media outlets across the country reading from the exact same script?   There is always a narrative and it is always peddled by the Dimokrat-media.

if Chauvin is not convicted of murder, every killing that takes place, every assault, every arson, and every business that is looted must be laid at the feet of Maxine Waters.

She doesn't have Trump's bully pulpit, nor did she announce and organize a specific protest on a certain date for something wild to happen to stop the steal (or stop the killing).

How did Trump have a bully pulpit?   Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter censored him.   Twitter banned him.  The networks stopped broadcasting his speeches.  Corporate media and social media refused to cover any news story favorable to Trump, but they ran with every rumor.    The leftwing media shut Trump up.   Sounds more like censorship than a bully pulpit.

It's either that, or you need to admit that Dims are held to a different standard.

I would have no problem seeing her impeached, convicted and ousted for her remarks.

Maybe the WaPo will run an honest, detailed comparison between Trump's remarks and Waters' remarks so you can see the difference.  LOL, just kidding.

Waters is wrong for encouraging confrontation and violence in a situation that requires the exact opposite of our leaders. Period.

"How is what Maxine doing much different than the lynch mobs of old (e.g. Emmitt Till)?
The courts are to be intimidated and riots will occur and we will burn the place down unless we get the verdict we demand, the facts be damned."

You may not like the decisions of a jury, but you need to respect them and the legal system.  Otherwise, the entire edifice breaks down and we get anarchy rather than the rule of law.  Maxine is on very, very dangerous ground here - not for her personally, but what it implies for the entire legal system in the US.

Chauvin Judge Blasts "Abhorrent" Maxine Waters' Words; Says May "Result In This Whole Trial Being Overturned"

SNIP:
As Townhall.com's Spencer Brown details, Chauvin's lawyers pointed out that jurors were not sequestered during the case and therefore may not be free from outside influence in the form of news updates they may have inadvertently or purposefully seen along with ongoing violence in the community surrounding the Chauvin trial and approaching verdict.

Among their concerns, Chauvin's defense team pointed to Waters and her appearance with demonstrators in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, over the weekend.

Even though the judge denied the defense's motion for mistrial, he highlighted the damage her rhetoric may have done, saying "Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned."

The judge continued with a scorching message for Rep. Waters and other elected officials who have engaged in what he slams as "abhorrent" behavior disrespecting the rule of law and giving their opinion in a way that is inconsistent with their oath to the Constitution: (emphasis ours)

I’m aware of the media reports. I’m aware that Congresswoman Waters was talking specifically about this trial and about the unacceptability of anything less than a murder conviction and talking about being confrontational, but can you submit the press articles about that.

This goes back to what I’ve been saying from the beginning. I wish elected officials would stop talking about this case, especially in a manner that is disrespectful to the rule of law and to the judicial branch and our function.

I think if they want to give their opinions, they should do so in a respectful and in a manner that is consistent with their oath to the Constitution, to respect the co-equal branch of government.

Their failure to do so I think is abhorrent, but I don’t think it’s prejudiced us with additional material that would prejudice this jury. They have been told not to watch the news. I trust they are following those instructions and that there is not in any way a prejudice to the defendant beyond the articles that were talking specifically about the facts of this case.

Next thing you know she'll be moving to a gated community in Williamson County.

Waters requested police protection during Minnesota trip where she told protesters get more 'confrontational'

The California Democrat’s remarks during her visit to the area have drawn widespread criticism

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/waters-police-protection-minnesota-trip

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., reportedly requested police protection during her trip to Minnesota over the weekend, where she made inflammatory comments that many have perceived as inciting violence in a region that has been experiencing intensifying protests.

Travel logs obtained and published by Townhall editor Katie Pavlich, who is also a Fox News contributor, appeared to show that Waters requested a U.S. Capitol Police escort on Saturday when she flew from Dulles International Airport to Minnesota-St. Paul International Airport.

To be fair, the courts were already "intimidated" to whatever degree they are, and as we've seen over the past year, the mob doesn't need Waters to fire them up - that's what social media's for.  Still, she should apologize and resign today.

This stuff is always the same. Somehow we are supposed to equate the cause of Donald Trump isn't allowed to lose elections with the cause of governments shouldn't kill their people. Like those two things are somehow equal. The crisis in this country is that people seem unable to use common sense on right and wrong and instead let their morals be completely dominated by left v. right.

Yes, it should, when justifiable.

Floyd appears to have been unjustifiable, but I didn't hear all the testimony.  Regardless of the verdict, we cannot encourage "protests" because it appears we cannot "protest" responsibly.

Wright appears to have been accidental, and should not be causing protests.
