Quote
Everyone is bothered by unfairness.  None of this has anything to do with BLM's advocacy UNTIL you point out how wrong they are on law enforcement.
No they aren't. Sorry, but that is the honesty you want. Sure, most people say there shouldn't be unfairness, but most people say animals shouldn't be tortured, but look at our meat processing facilities. People aren't going to work all that hard to ensure any kind of fairness unless there is political pressure to do so. Black people don't have, relatively speaking, the funds to effect kind of change like say, the Koch brothers.  But they do have their feet and their voice, and that's worth something. I am definitely less concerned about the hurt feelings of some police officers compared to the physical harm done to black people.

The best option would be to put in policies that reduce the number of people getting killed by police. Then there would be fewer protests, and there would be fewer dead people. Win win.

I want data to support BLM's assertions, and unlike me, they haven't got any.

It's a win for the right and a loss for the left when they riot over non-existent problems.  Again, most of these so-called "protests" are occurring over the mere fact that a white cop has killed a black man, despite it being a justifiable killing.  That's going to do more harm than good for black advancement.

It's as though there's no such thing as a justifiable killing by a white cop - it's become quite insane.  They've even got you supporting "protesting" accidental killings, as if the cops can make a promise to stop being human.

The best policy in my view would be to have LEADERS who speak TRUTH and don't exaggerate or fabricate or incite over nothings.

But, that is a fairy tale world.

The best policy would be to have a PEOPLE who adhered to the bedrock values of Biblical principles.  Instead of the vague, gaseous, Godless relativism that always descends into the incoherent, secular, intellectually and morally void lies of Marxism, Wokeism, CRT, BLM, etc.

But that obviously ain’t going to happen, either.

At least, not until our King returns, to establish His Kingdom.

Asians are much less likely to be arrested relative to their percentage of the population.
Are cops turning a blind eye towards Asian crime because they "like" Asians more?
Or is there a root cause for arrests other than skin color?

Blacks are roughly 1/3rd of the population in Chicago, but account for about 80% of homicide deaths - almost all black on black crime.  Shouldn't arrest rates match the crime rates irrespective of skin color?  Or should a lot of arrests not occur because the police shouldn't exceed their quota of arrests due to skin color?

There have been 187 homicides in Chicago this year, 1 perpetrated by a white citizen and 0 perpetrated by asians.  Should the police arrest no more black shooters until the whites and asians "catch up"?

No.

They should arrest no more blacks — “shooters”, or otherwise — PERIOD.  Case closed.

What is it about this that you’re not understanding?

The greatest Southern author of all time (which makes him the de facto greatest American author, hands down.  And by far) — Walker Percy —

had one of his characters say the following.  Paraphrased (can’t remember which novel.  “Lancelot”?  “Love in the Ruins”?  “The Last Gentleman”?):

God gave the Christianized Western European a paradise in the New World.  Unlimited arable land, fresh water, bountiful natural resources, endless coastline, no neighboring enemies, a panorama of every conceivable climate and landscape vista — mountains, prairies, forests; a system of reason and rationality and natural laws, developed and fought over for centuries, in accord with the inalienable rights given by God.

All of it was his, and his progeny’s, in perpetuity —

but there was one little catch.  A test.

“There is a backward man in Africa,” He said.  “All you have to do is leave him alone.”

One little test:

you flunk.

It’s done.  Deal with it.

Sam would say you are racist.
Blacks only make up 1/3rd of Chicago residents.
So if they make up more than 1/3rd of all arrests, then the Chicago Police Department is defacto racist.

Yep.
You're racist and so am I and most everyone here is racist because superficial observations of the numbers imply massive racism.  Other factors cannot be taken into account.

I don't recall going on about how anyone here is some sort of unrepentant racist. My main point is that it would be nice if we lived in reality and just acknowledged the efforts to to treat black people like mushrooms for hundreds of years and perhaps those efforts have negative impacts on black people today.

Thanks.  Just checking.  Your post didn’t seem to really address my post.

Plus, pretty much the only response I ever get is from the most miserable, repeating broken record, waste of time dullard I’ve ever encountered on the internet.

Or the occasional irrelevant, arrested development giffy from fuzz…

My ancestors  were indentured servants.  My in-laws suffered under the hands of Japanese soldiers during World War 2 and lost a vast amount of wealth during the Cultural Revolution.  They suffered directly.  And in their lifetimes. My daughter and her classmates are blatantly discriminated in college admissions for no other reason than the color of their skin - to the advantage of others with different skin color.  What did they do to deserve being discriminated against?

Black crime rates were no different than those of whites from 1900 to 1960.  What changed? Racism got worse after 1960?  Or could it be other factors rather than skin color that are at work?

The FHA quite famously looked at areas where black people lived and then denied insuring mortgages in areas where too many black people lived. I wonder how that helped property values.
