Verdict reached in the Chauvin trial
« on: April 20, 2021, 04:26:27 PM »
To be read within an hour apparently. My guess would be guilty on at least one charge.   If it was innocent the deliberations would have taken longer i think.

It should be involuntary manslaughter.

Should have been change of venue, should have sequestered the jury.  The Maxine remarks are grounds alone for a mistrial.

Any conviction will be overturned, and a new trial ordered.

That's what I think it should be as well.  My GUESS is that he is found guilty on all counts.  If there was a split decision on the verdicts, it would have taken longer to deliberate.

Guilty on all counts, a travesty, but frankly not surprising.   Pressure was enormous, or the city would burn down.

Now the jurors won't be hounded and terrorized for the rest of their lives.

The President at least waited until the jury was sequestered.

He should waited until after the verdict before reading what someone else wrote as his opinion

Maybe someday, all who let him out of his basement will be charged with elder abuse
