DANA LOESCH: A Note for Fellow Second Amendment Supporters Rallying in Virginia. “Do not be baited. Do not be provoked. You are at an extraordinary moment in history and the rest of us in states, counties, and cities across the country (all of us dealing with rights grabs like you, some at stages earlier than others) are watching you, praying for you, and depending on you. How you choose to use your time and impact your community will send shockwaves throughout the rest of the country. Do not be distracted from your good work by bad actors sent to incite, antagonize, and sabotage your efforts. Stay relentlessly focused. Speak truth and ignore every provocation tomorrow. That is not the day for it.”

It’s clear that Northam is praying for violence.

Christopher Rampley •
I'd like to see a huge armed peaceful protest - outside the fence. And not a single soul inside of it. That would send a message. Tell them the fence is government shorthand for the cattle car.

jmarie •
The entire left, including Northam, are not praying for violence. They are paying for violence, they are trying to assure that there is bloodshed so they can blame Trump because every, single, other ploy they have tried to overturn his election has failed. This is their next, great hope and I am terrified that this time they'll get it.

HMSLion •
"Praying" is too weak a word. Northam and his master, Bloomberg, are trying to provoke a fight, then use their Propaganda Press allies to smear firearm owners nationwide. Carry cameras. Wear backup cameras. And as others have noted, perhaps it would be best to operate outside that fenced-in kill zone.

Peter Porcupine •
I hope the marchers have assigned people to surveillance duty all around the capitol area. Every unknown bus that shows up should be photographed and its plates recorded. Groups that look like Antifa terrorist infiltrators should be photographed and followed (at a safe distance) afterwards so they can be traced. In real time, the online channers and anons should be tracking those buses and groups to their sources.

Killerbee •
Violence is going to happen. No doubt about it. Northam isn't just "praying" for it, he's paying for it. Look for false flags all over the place. Regular attendees need to be on their guard and ready with cameras to make sure they can get the IDs of any provocateurs.

This could end up having an undesired outcome, something "staged" in effect, possibly, to make it seem the 2A people are dangerous.  Obviously if the anti-2A folks see political problems down the road, they can "influence" voters by painting 2A folks as inherently "dangerous" by getting them into a fracas, no matter who started it.

It's a bit like when Trump said there were honorable people on both sides, hardly an amazing observation.

There will be dishonorable people present in this affair, count on it.  Why would "anti-fascists" otherwise want government to take away our 2A rights?  Hmmmmmmmm.

Gun Sales Soar as Rumors of “Civil War” and “Martial Law” Spread
« Reply #35 on: January 20, 2020, 04:35:00 PM »
Ever since Virginia’s Democrats retook the state assembly and Senate in November, Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam and the legislature have been gearing up to pass a draconian gun control bill.
Unsurprisingly, many Virginians feel strongly about preserving their second amendment rights, and the state has traditionally enforced a more permissive stance toward firearm ownership. But now, lawmakers are tossing around ideas like an “assault weapons ban” – language that has been criticized as vague and even nonsensical. Several moderate Democrats have even expressed reservations about supporting a sweeping gun-control bill if it includes the ban.
Quote
“A lot of people don’t really understand assault weapons and how complicated the issue really is,” said Democratic Sen. John Edwards. “It’s going to be very difficult to figure out a way to do it. But we’re studying it, that’s all I can say.”
And yet, lawmakers are pressing ahead, prompting a vicious backlash that has even prompted Gov. Northam to declare a state of Emergency because armed militia groups planned to storm the capitol.
As the gun-control debate rages, thousands of Virginians have been rushing to gun stores across the state to buy up firearms before it’s too late.

“Business has been absolutely crazy,” explained Jerry Rapp, owner of SpecDive Tactical in Alexandria. Rapp said business has increased by 200 to 300 percent since the last election, although that doesn’t mean the news is all good for the gun shop owner and his customers. “People are really on edge. They’re worried about their Second Amendment rights. They’re worried about the future of what you can and cannot have as a firearm.”
As one gun buyer put it, since Democrats have expressed open hostility to the 2nd Amendment, it makes more sense to just be prepared.

"Why would "anti-fascists" otherwise want government to take away our 2A rights? "

Exactly.  Why would someone worried about Fascism want to disarm the people?   Answer: they are the Fascists.

But of course they did....free speech will not be tolerated.
It seems as if Youtube wants to end both the First Amendment and the Second Amendment.

Democrat says Second Amendment supporters in Virginia have 'mental

issues'

A Virginia state senator called Second Amendment supporters "little kids" at a public meeting over the weekend as tensions between gun rights activists boil over in the state.
Sen. Dave Marsden, who supports Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, is an advocate of proposed gun control legislation and is part of the Democratic majority in the Virginia General Assembly. Instead of apologizing for the insensitive remarks, Marsden called Second Amendment supporters "mentally ill" in a letter he sent following a meeting with constituents.
Mornings on the Mall host Mary Walter read part of Marsden's letter on-air and asked him to comment.
"Too many of your members and other 2A supporters appear to have mental health issues," Walter quoted.
"A significant number of these things were indicative of very unstable people, and this is worrisome," replied Marsden. "The responses I was getting were from people who showed signs of having mental health difficulties."
After Democrats swept into power in both chambers of the Virginia General Assembly last November, gun rights supporters passed Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions in 75 of 96 Virginia counties to protect their rights to own and bear firearms in their localities. Gov. Ralph Northam has threatened to deploy the National Guard if local police refuse to abide by new laws passed in this year's General Assembly session.
"The Second Amendment community is very, very concerned about us approaching the problem as a mental health problem, and this is just indicative of exactly what they're talking about. There are a lot of people who have mental health issues that are engaged on the current issues, and that's a concern to all of us," stated Marsden.

Marsden supports red flag laws that allow courts the ability to seize guns from citizens temporarily if someone believes they are a danger to themselves or others.
"What people are upset with, and I can absolutely see their point of view, is that you have your guns removed from you, and then you have to go through the court process, spend money for a lawyer, to prove your innocence in order to get your rightfully owned guns back from the government," said Walter. "It's a guilty-before-innocent law."
"This is in the hands of the courts, not the legislature or anyone else. We make these kinds of determinations all the time," responded Marsden.
