The Georgia Sec of State fabricated the quote when leaking the information to Wapo.
This is the same guy who was charged with having a fair election.

The revision was NOT with the Georgia SecState.  It was some female election official.  There are two different calls being intermingled here.

This is correct and I have a feeling it debunks much of what Roady in particular is claiming, or should I say "lying" as he puts it when people make mistakes?

Perhaps in THIS thread folks should not try and discuss the phone call with Raffensburger then.

They might focus on the other phone call to an unnamed (I think) female.  To me, this is a substantive change.

The Post initially reported Trump had told an official working in Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's office to "find the fraud" in the state, which he lost narrowly to Joe Biden, and that she would be a "national hero" if she did.

However, a newly emerged recording of the Dec. 23 call found he didn't use those words. Instead, Trump said she would be "praised" when the "right answer comes out" and encouraged her to closely examine mail-in ballots in heavily blue Fulton County.

How does Trump asking for an accurate election in any way justify fabricating quotes to influence the special election in Georgia ?
Wapo lied in not only fabricating quotes but claiming the source had been verified independently...you fell for it ...ONCE AGAIN!  Now you're attempting to CYOA.  Same ole' same ole'

Talk about hiding the truth.......to further the agenda of the NG locking down our capital for Nancy.
I am headed to DC for a week later this month.  I should be able to give a firsthand report on what is locked down, and what isn't.  We're staying near DuPont Circle.

My daughter is joining us there.  She was here for a few days and just left.

The official is not "unnamed" . The official was Frances Watson , a state elections investigator.
Who Trump spoke to is not really that important. The main focus should be that Raffensperger leaked inaccurate information to The Washington Post by attributing false quotes and then he Washington Post ( along with CNN and ABC claimed the story was independently verified. This took place a day before the Georgia special election in an effort to discredit Trump and anyone who supported him. Raffensperger is the person  who many here claims we should trust in Georgia having confidence in the election.

Reffensperger was part of the conference call and all of the articles I've read has credited Raffensperger with leaking to Wapo although I'm not aware if he has ever admitted it

Earlier reporting by NBC News and other news organizations, including The Washington Post, misquoted the exact words Trump used to urge Watson to look for fraud based on Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs' account of Watson's recollection of the conversation.

This claims it was Jordan Fuchs who provided the initial account, whoever she is.

You beat me to it...was about to post this excellent article  which also credit Fuchs who is Raffensperger's Asst. Sec of State. If Raffensperger didn't leak it , then Fuch's leaked it with Raffenspergers blessing. Great article goes into detail what happened.

This is not a digital simulation.  It is Trump's voice on an actual phone call.  Don't be insane - your ears do not lie:

Ok..I've listened to the entire audio twice now. Tell me what Trump said was illegal or unethical? Trump disagreed with the people he was talking to and he asked them to look into it.  There were no threats, all I heard was request to look into fraud election claims. He even said they were rumors.
. Are you trying to accuse Trump of disagreeing with someone? Is that really the crime you're worked up about?
Nothing like threatening a foreign power with withholding aide if they don't fire the prosecutor investigation his son's business.
