Easy to scroll. Some of you might have stock in these. I doubt it.  But interesting info anyways.

I counted 31 places where I have eaten at least once over a 40 year period. I think there was only 1 where I've eaten in the last year.

I've eaten at a few of them. Some don't have the crowds they use to but some seem to be doing ok. As a note I have seen essentially the same list every year for the past five or six years.
President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

Yeah.

I figure several of them will hang on.
Some on the list are awful.

I glanced at the first ten or so, they aren't very good in my view.  I wouldn't miss any of'em, but I dislike chains in the main.

When we are driving somewhere, I rely on them for obvious reasons, but it's usually for a quick meal to hit the road again.

I think we have only two major chains in walking distance, Chipotle and Panera.  To me, they are "just OK", but there are many more good options around.  But we've tried places and figured out which we like and don't much.

There are a couple sports bars nearby that are local chains, I don't find them interesting, typical bar food.  Hudson's Grill and Taco Mac, not really worth going unless you ant a gillion TVs and a bunch of beers on tap, I think TM claims 100 beers on tap.  I only need 5 or so.

A food hall is supposed to open nearby soon, semi-upscale I guess, and a Persian restaurant, both delayed by the pandemic.
