What exactly was he doing with the "speaker" he was holding over his head? What was coming out of it? It clearly drew the attention of the federal agents.

Maybe he was just trying to win them over with a song.

Off topic, but what is that car?   Looks like a 77 GM coupe of some sort.

Google loses two software engineers.....
Arson gets you 5 to 20 years....

https://www.reporter.am/google-software-engineer-is-arrested-for-assault-at-antifa-riot-in-portland/

SNIP:
Google software engineer is arrested for assault at Antifa riot in Portland as a 32- year-old male who ‘set fire to cops head offices’ is charged with arson after he was determined by his name tattoo on his back. Edward Thomas Schinzing, 32, was charged after supposedly setting fire to utilizing the Justice Center in downtown Portland on May 29

In a different occurrence, Google software engineer Zachary Ames Trudo was arrested throughout a riot downtown late Saturday. He was charged with assault, withstanding arrest and trying escape, to name a few offenses prior to being launched.  Trudo, who is from the Seattle location, had actually supposedly been included in a violent demonstration in the city where rioters obstructed traffic, targeted a court house and attacked policeman.

What Better Way to ‘Honor’ Christian George Floyd Than by Firing Up a Good Old-Fashioned Bible-Burning in Portland?

SNIP:
Let’s just come right out and say it. This was never about George Floyd. I’d venture a bet that a majority of these people couldn’t care less about Floyd. And if they do, why are they now burning Bibles in his “honor”?

Remember WWJD bracelets? “What would Jesus do?” Perhaps it’s time to roll out WWGD bracelets — What would George do? What would the man who was reportedly a Christian involved in Bible ministry  do to honor another Christian?

I got this one.

Why, he’d participate in burning a stack of Bibles to honor a fellow-Christian, of course, right? Yeah, no. But that’s exactly what the “protesters” did on another chaotic night in Portland, Friday.

As Andy Ngô, editor-at-large for The Post Millennial  observed, Friday night in Portland wasn’t just about burning Bibles; flags were pretty hot, as well (double-entendre intended, of course).

So what’s on tap for Saturday night’s agenda of “peaceful activities” in Portland? By “peaceful protesters” who continue to “mourn” the death of George Floyd, of course? Hard to say.

Thing is, after burning a bloody severed pig’s head sporting a cop’s cap one night, and torching a stack of Bibles the next, it’s getting tough for these lunatics to top themselves — but they’ll surely try, no doubt.

I would guess if someone polled he late night "protesters" and asked the name of the man who police killed and where that occurred, maybe a quarter would get it right.

This is about Trump, and general dissatisfaction with "things".

UPDATE (FROM GLENN): If you burned Korans this way and somebody shot you, you’d be told that it was your own fault for “provoking” them.

Frank Natoli •
The BBC Thames “World At War” first episode “New Germany” shows a Nazi book burning and Olivier quotes the German Jewish writer Heine “where one burns books, one eventually burns people”.
And they did, and given the power Democrats will.

For those unaware, bridge traffic is only down -40% because that bridge connects Portland, Oregon with Vancouver, Washington.  Why do so many use the bridge?  There is no state income tax in the state of Washington and there is no sales tax in the state of Oregon.  So people live and work in Vancouver, Washington and use the bridge to go to the grocery store, etc. to shop.  They can do so and not have to go to downtown Portland.  A friend of mine up and moved along with his business from Silicon Valley to Vancouver, Washington for that exact reason....

https://libertycampfire.com/2020/07/27/portland-in-the-spotlight/

SNIP:
People are afraid to go downtown at any time of the day.  The flow of people, tourists and residents to downtown has dropped precipitously.  TriMet, Portland’s mass transit system, reports that trips to the downtown area have dropped 75% during the summer as compared to last year.  Traffic across the main bridge is down over 40%.  Hotel occupancy has crashed and has not recovered.  Occupancy is hovering in the 20+% range.

Many small businesses will never re-open.  Have the economic underpinnings of the city been irreparably damaged?  Are the downtown businesses in a death spiral?  If so, there is only one person to blame and that is Ted Wheeler.
