You can't make this stuff up:

Ms. Barry, 54, a former corporate ethics and compliance officer

Fuzzy, there lies the hypocrisy of the Left. The Nashville Mayor was caught red handed and there was nothing but crickets from the Left. If that mayor was a Republican your party would’ve been screaming “prison time” from the mountain tops. It seems to me your party only cries for accountability when a Republican is involved.

As an example, how many Democrat criminals have been caught that are still in the House and Senate. Even when the Republican Party screams for accountability nothing to very little is done within the Dem party.

How many Republicans have resigned from the House or Senate vs Dems? A lot more because the Republicans hold their party accountable much more than Dems. That’s a fact.

According to a statement from District Attorney Glenn Funk, Forrest was sentenced to three years of probation. Forrest also must reimburse the city for $45,000 in pay he received for times he wasn't performing his duties as part of Barry's security detail.

Heck it sounds to me like he was more than performing his duties taking care of the mayor.  :hee20hee20hee:

Maybe he could say he was doing "undercover work" for the Mayor.

All I can say is the guy must have been real hard up.

I haven't quite figured out which one of the lee sisters she is just yet, whether it's UG or Home.

Fuzzy, there lies the hypocrisy of the Left. The Nashville Mayor was caught red handed and there was nothing but crickets from the Left.

It's being reported everywhere, including the national mainstream media.  Maybe if you didn't live in a bomb shelter somewhere with a ham radio as your only friend, you'd know something about what's going on in the real world.

If that mayor was a Republican your party would’ve been screaming “prison time” from the mountain tops.

I've called for prison time in this very forum.

It seems to me your party only cries for accountability when a Republican is involved.

You guys always whine that, and always end up with egg on your face.  Texie just posted some story about 100,000 unregistered voters from the Washington Times (a rag that only appeals to pure idiots) and his echo chamber said the reason it's not getting reported anywhere else is because of some vast leftwing media conspiracy.  They say that all the time, and whenever there turns out to be any truth the story, I link to the mainstream coverage of it and as you say, "crickets."

As an example, how many Democrat criminals have been caught that are still in the House and Senate. Even when the Republican Party screams for accountability nothing to very little is done within the Dem party.

Yeah, that's not an example.  That's a broad, unspecific allegation - which would be the opposite of an example.

How many Republicans have resigned from the House or Senate vs Dems? A lot more because the Republicans hold their party accountable much more than Dems. That’s a fact.

Al Franken says, hi.

And maybe Roy Moore will drop by this thread and give us his two cents.

I saw that and was impressed.

She certainly worked a very good deal.
No jail time....her sentence eventually expunged.
You watch - she'll run for office in a few years and the media won't make any mention of her past.

https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/2018/03/07/nashville-mayor-megan-barry-guilty-felony-theft-plea-deal-sentence/401405002/

Former Nashville Mayor Megan Barry pleaded guilty to felony theft Tuesday, but a deal she cut with prosecutors spares her from being classified as a felon.

The deal relies on a state law that allows first-time offenders to plead guilty, serve probation and then get their cases dismissed — provided they don't break rules along the way.

She definitely still has a career in politics.  Neither party really cares about misappropriation of funds or extramarital affairs.  Mark Sanford had a very similar issue with his trip to Argentina to see his "soul mate".  He is now in the US Congress proudly representing South Carolina.
