So does China of course, and surprisingly a lot of larger cities in Europe.

Is some of that fog?  It's tough to tell.  A lot of pollutants that are harmful of course are also invisible.  The smog we see is often mostly fine particulates (which are not good to breathe at all of course).

Can you imagine their CO2 output?  (Another invisible gas as well.)

Very high particulate levels, so it's not "mainly fog".

Not long ago, China was opening a new coal fired electrical generation plant every week, one a week, and they were not fitted with any pollution equipment.

In India, a lot of the small scooters and cars are two stroke engines which are terribly polluting, and many more are Diesels (with no AdBlue of course).  Add in some coal burning nearby and a steel plant and bad weather and you have a disaster.

What’s amazing to me is that America has some of the cleanest air relative to our manufacturing yet the lunatics on the Left make it out that America is the worlds demon seed while giving passes to Mexico, China, India, etc...

Those nations could do themselves a favor and implement emissions standards and perform opacity testing at their manufacturing facilities. But it’s so much cheaper to just manufacture without all of the environmental protection standards which is why they CHOOSE to live in filthy pollution.

When every nation commits to meeting emission standards similar to America then we can all enter into a worldwide emissions agreement but until then Trump was right to back out of the Paris Redistribution of America’s Wealth Plan.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-48762911

In May last year, France - along with the UK, Germany, Italy, Romania and Hungary - was taken to court by the European Commission over its long-standing failure to meet EU limits for nitrogen dioxide (NO₂).

NO₂ is a problem gas that is produced primarily by vehicle exhausts and industrial activity via the burning of fossil fuels.

The irony in this is that most of Europe decided to fight climate change circa 1990 by favoring Diesel car engines.  Most cars in France are Diesels, and the fuel is cheaper, and they get better fuel economy.  Few of them have the newer urea injection device.  So, they produce less CO2, but a lot more NO2, which is a known potent air pollutant.  And of course several car companies managed to defraud the emissions testing to avoid using the urea injection (VW, MB, BMW).

So why don't we see celebrities showing up in Delhi and Beijing where the sources of pollution in the world really are?

In my view, it is because they are much more concerned about virtue signaling than they are about really dealing with the source.

China alone consumes over 50% of the world's coal every year, yet I don't see Jane Fonda marching in Beijing and willing to be arrested there.

The celebrities and politicians are all worried about climate change obviously, and "normal" air pollution is NOT that.

You can see for this that they are not near their target CO2 reductions even in Germany.
