Probably true.
Better than Rice or Davis.
But a sad day when sex and race take precedent over who might be the best qualified candidate.
Potentials such as Andrew Yang were flat-out not considered because he isn't black and he isn't female.  But of course, Asians are used to blatant discrimination.

Hold on a minute. I heard on the radio that Harris is a black, Asian, female. She is a threefor.

Yeah, but she's not a transgender lesbian....not inclusive enough.

I'm not sure that this will play well in swing states...

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/aug/11/minnesota-group-boosted-by-biden-campaign-staffers/

SNIP:
A Minnesota nonprofit that was boosted by multiple celebrities and more than a dozen campaign staffers for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joseph R. Biden has bailed out defendants charged with murder, kidnapping and sexual assault, according to a new report.

At least 13 Biden campaign staffers boasted on social media in late May that they contributed to the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF), a bail-paying nonprofit that saw a $35 million fundraising windfall during the George Floyd protests, Reuters reported at the time.

Now, a report by FOX 9 says the nonprofit has helped few protesters in comparison to the defendants charged with violent crimes.

Have we heard from Stacey Abrams?
I'm guessing that she'll claim that she's the "real nominee".

Whitmer has to be ticked. She wrecked the State of Michigan, I mean seriously let people get washed away by crumbling dams, so that she could prove she hated Americans enough to get the VP spot. Now she has a wrecked state and no invite to the big dance.

Meanwhile: "This pretty much seals up crucial swing states like CA and NY!"

SNIP:
Joe Biden has named his 2020 running mate: authoritarianism.

American prosecutors wield awesome and terrible powers that lend themselves easily to abuse, and Senator Kamala Harris, formerly the attorney general of California, is an enthusiastic abuser of them.

Harris was a leader in the junta of Democratic state attorneys general that attempted to criminalize dissent in the matter of global warming, using her office’s investigatory powers to target and harass non-profit policy groups while she and her counterpart in New York attempted to shake down Exxon on phony fraud cases.

Until she was stopped by a federal court, Harris was laying subpoenas on organizations such as the Americans for Prosperity Foundation, a conservative-leaning group that is critical of Democratic global-warming proposals. She demanded private information that the organizations were not legally obliged to disclose, including financial information and donor lists, in order to be able to subject the supporters of right-leaning groups to legal and financial harassment. This was, as a federal judge confirmed, an obvious and unquestionable violation of the First Amendment.

Harris’s self-serving prosecutorial abuses have been directed at political enemies, but they also put hundreds — maybe thousands — of people in jail or at risk of prosecution on wrongful grounds when it suited her agenda. As Lara Bazelon of the Loyola law school wrote in the New York Times:

Ms. Harris fought tooth and nail to uphold wrongful convictions that had been secured through official misconduct that included evidence tampering, false testimony and the suppression of crucial information by prosecutors.

Consider her record as San Francisco’s district attorney from 2004 to 2011. Ms. Harris was criticized in 2010 for withholding information about a police laboratory technician who had been accused of “intentionally sabotaging” her work and stealing drugs from the lab. After a memo surfaced showing that Ms. Harris’s deputies knew about the technician’s wrongdoing and recent conviction, but failed to alert defense lawyers, a judge condemned Ms. Harris’s indifference to the systemic violation of the defendants’ constitutional rights.

Ms. Harris contested the ruling by arguing that the judge, whose husband was a defense attorney and had spoken publicly about the importance of disclosing evidence, had a conflict of interest. Ms. Harris lost. More than 600 cases handled by the corrupt technician were dismissed.

In the context of Harris’s political vendettas, that eagerness to engage in “systemic violation of the defendants’ constitutional rights” is particularly terrifying.

FLASHBACK: While Democrats get crazier, Tulsi Gabbard hits Kamala Harris criticism right on the nose.

Quote
As Gabbard pointed out, then California attorney general, Harris was responsible for putting “over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana.”

Harris’ office also blocked DNA evidence that could have freed a man who may be innocent. And what’s more, as Gabbard said, “She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California. And she fought to keep (the) cash bail system in place that impacts poor people in the worst kind of way.”

ATLANTA, GA—Failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams has graciously accepted Joe Biden's offer to run as the vice-presidential candidate on his campaign.

After Biden announced his pick today, Abrams quickly gave a speech congratulating the losers and saying she was excited and ready to run a tough race for the next three months.

"Thanks so much, Joe," she said. "I'm humbled by this victory, and I'm glad you've chosen me as the winner. For everyone who lost, I just want to say, it's really hard putting yourself out there and accepting a loss with grace. And I just want to thank you for doing that and for showing that you can compete with class. You'll definitely have a part in me and Joe's administration."

At publishing time, Abrams had begun giving her acceptance speech for winning the 2020 election.

I guess they thought the selection of the first African American / South Asian woman to a major party ticket was more newsworthy than picking someone to hopefully be the sixth white man from Indiana to be VP.  Don't worry, it will probably be above-the-fold headlines when Trump out of desperation dumps Pence and picks Nikki Haley to be his running mate.  Certainly the types of sexist, misogynistic attacks on Harris I have seen in this thread are not going to help Trump close his huge support deficit with women.

I cannot wait for some to write some really disparaging thing about Harris and when that person calls them out, they will note that they took the exact same thing they said about Palin and replaced the name "Palin" with "Harris".   Goose - gander.

Will we see the MSM digging through Harris' garbage outside her house this time around?

She's African-American?  What percentage?  Are we using the one-drop rule?
From Kamala's father:

SNIP:
My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown1 who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown’s Town) and to my maternal grandmother Miss Iris (née Iris Finegan, farmer and educator, from Aenon Town and Inverness, [Scotland] ancestry unknown to me). The Harris name comes from my paternal grandfather Joseph Alexander Harris, land-owner and agricultural ‘produce’ exporter (mostly pimento or all-spice), who died in 1939 one year after I was born and is buried in the church yard of the magnificent Anglican Church which Hamilton Brown built in Brown’s Town (and where, as a child, I learned the catechism, was baptized and confirmed, and served as an acolyte).
