If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...
« on: November 08, 2019, 07:06:12 PM »
WASHINGTON — Two National Security Council experts told House investigators that they had serious concerns about Rudolph W. Giuliani’s efforts to affect U.S. policy in Ukraine, including what one called his “partisan investigations” of Democrats, according to transcripts released by House Democrats on Friday.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, an expert on Ukraine who still works in the White House, and Fiona Hill, an expert on Russia who left her post in July, voiced similar concerns about the demands that Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, was making in Ukraine and how to work with – or around – him.

Vindman said that Ukrainian government officials reached out to him in April “for advice on how to respond to Mr. Giuliani’s advances, meaning his call to undertake these — what would come across as partisan investigations.”

Vindman was one of two people who testified that they were so troubled after Trump asked Ukrainian President Zelenskiy in a July 25 phone call for a “favor” — investigations that could benefit his 2020 reelection campaign — that they expressed their concerns to NSC lawyers.
He told lawmakers that there was “no doubt” Trump was asking for a “deliverable” from Zelenskiy — a public announcement about investigating Democrats before Trump would agree to let the newly-elected leader of the embattled U.S. ally visit the White House.

President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

LOL, I like how the narrative is "partisan investigation" when the Republicans start looking into malfeasance by democrats, and the partisan political hacks who listened into the same phone conversation that we've all been reading about are "national security experts".

The criminals on the left have assumed they were untouchable because they were part of the deep state.  If the IG starts handing down indictments, the media war will really heat up.  Durham and Barr better have thick skin because your "credible media" will try to destroy them.

Vindman is free to provide his OPINIONS and IMPRESSIONS and BELIEFS of course, but they should not be viewed as anything more than that.

No he isn't he's a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army he cannot use contemptuous words against the president or other officials. He should have already been charged.

contemptuous

[ kuhn-temp-choo-uhs ]

adjective

showing or expressing contempt or disdain; scornful; disrespectful.

UCMJ Article 88

Contempt Toward Officials

The MCM states any service member may be prosecuted under Article 88 (Contempt Toward Officials) if they use “contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Security, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present.”

In order to be prosecuted under Article 88, the prosecution must prove:
  • the accused was a commissioned officer of the U.S. armed forces;
  • the accused used certain words against an official or legislature named in the article;
  • that by an act of the accused these words came to the knowledge of a person other than the accused; and
  • that the words used were contemptuous, either in themselves or by virtue of the circumstances under which they were used.
If the words were used against a Governor or legislature, the prosecution must also prove that the accused was then present in the State, Commonwealth, or possession of the Governor or legislature concerned.

I don't see where he used any "contemptuous words" here.

He voiced some opinions, which clearly are legal.  But, whatever, if he's not charged it's irrelevant except in one's imagination.

I've rarely encountered anyone on the Internet so bitter, negative, complaining, and hostile, as well as unable to comprehend rather simple sentences.

I've never encountered anyone as stupid as you are especially when someone presents the facts.

You only believe what you want to believe.

Military officers come under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and are not allowed opinions about superiors.  Especially when it is calling the president a liar and questioning his foreign policy. That is also conduct unbecoming you can look that up it's article 133 in the UCMJ.

You're nothing more than a left wing lunatic idiot who thinks you know it all.

In addition to being subject to the UCMJ it should be noted that Vindman is forbidden from wearing his uniform while employed by the NSA regardless of his active military status.
The little drama played out with Vindman showing up for the hearing in full dress uniform was pure made for TV drama.
