Well, they are completely different from widely reported figures on GDP growth of late.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/economy-reaches-longest-expansion-in-u-s-history-in-third-quarter-of-2019-beats-market-expectations/

This is from the White House, shirley one can believe them.

under President Trump, real GDP as of the third quarter has grown at a strong 2.6 percent annual rate since the election. As of the third quarter, real GDP is $230 billion—or 1.2 percent—higher than CBO’s projection (Figure 1). Furthermore, under President Obama’s expansion period, real GDP grew at only a 2.2 percent annual rate compared to the Trump Administration’s 2.6 percent rate.

So, 2.2% under Obama for 8 years versus 2.6% under Trump for three, a pretty decent increase, but not exactly a massive change.  Obama's figures were "helped" because he inherited an economy near collapse with very negative GDP growth, so just about anything would be up.

I don't see the point in showing economic data for Obama clipped at year 2012 or 2014, he was in office until 2017 obviously.  Show all the relevant data.

An indicator I watch closely is how the stock market responds to news.  It tends to be somewhat more free of emotions when evaluating political news.  The impeachment has not budged it either way thus far, as "they" understand the Senate is not going to convict and remove, so for the economy, this is no news.  It also prevents Congress from passing anything that could have unknown or unclear issues down the road, and the markets like stability.

If the prospect of a Warren or Sanders win in November starts to look probable, I think we'll see a substantial and negative market reaction.  A Biden Presidency wouldn't scare anyone much (in the markets).  Biden would not be viewed as a "shaker and mover", I think, so unlikely to get much done (outside appointments).

A Republican Senate would of course significantly limit what a Democratic President might want to do.

President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

Frankly, I think the first 12-18 months after a recession almost always tends to show exceptionally strong growth simply as things revert to mean.

Woulld be interesting to see what Obama's growth record was for his last 6 years.

You can see when Obama was president, GDP growth was somewhat erratic, four quarters were over 4%, but several more were negative or barely above water.  As I've said before, I think all of this has more to do with the Fed than the President.  People like to cherry pick to make Obama look better, or Trump look better, depending on partisanship rather than comprehensive inclusion of all the data.

This perception doesn't help Democrats in 2020....

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/two-thirds-voters-say-democrats-want-to-impeach-trump-more-than-help-americans

Two-thirds of voters say Democrats want to impeach Trump more than help Americans

In the latest Zogby Analytics survey, 67% of voters said that they “believe the Democrats are more interested in impeaching the president as opposed to passing legislation that will help Americans.”

And the shocking sidebar: A majority of Democrats, 53%, believe this is the case too, said pollster Jonathan Zogby.

“This feeling of politics first permeated a majority of every subgroup: all felt that Democrats in Congress were more concerned with impeaching the president rather than passing legislation that helps Americans,” he said in sharing the poll with Secrets.
