Prepers pretty much equal people who were a couple generations back from the country.
Storm cellars. Canned goods canned by themselves Potatoes buried in the cellar for winter.
Nothing wrong with having enough food to last a month or 2.
I know people who would starve after a week.  I get a kick out of people who run out for batteries and food at the sign of snow

WE probably have 2-3 weeks, but no basement here of course and somewhat limited storage.

They are at home, not at Grady.

They were diagnosed somewhere, right? Could have been Grady or one of the other hospitals.

I was out and about today, heavy traffic of course, stores were humming, saw no masks anywhere.  We had lunch at a good Mexican place out on Buford Highway then went to Costco for some photo books of our vacation so the daughter can take one back with her.  No apparent economic here, yet.

Our neighbor is in Rome and he texted me their flight was half full and his next flight to Bulgaria was cancelled, and he's hoping he can make a leg to Egypt.  He's traveling with friends for their wedding anniversary of some sort all over the Med, and then meeting is in Istanbul next month.  There definitely are travel disruptions.  He said Italy was a mess at the airport.  Bad timing.  I prepaid our hotel reservations in Istanbul.  I did take trip insurance on the flight.

Everclear (pure grain alcohol) is an even better bet.

Wonder how much Bernie and Biden contributed?
That's less than the hush money he paid to the porn star.  I hope he doesn't reimburse himself out of the Trump Foundation funds that he raided to pay for portraits of himself.

By the time I got to Target yesterday to restock things like boxed pasta, toilet paper, and cat food (I can handle food shortages, my precocious cat won’t stand for missing dinner) I was a lot less worried about locking myself away. After looking at the stats of who’s mostly dying from Coronavirus it’s pretty clear it’s elderly people with long term health complications. They aren’t just old in the sense of my Dad at nearly 70 - they are over 85, already battling ailments like pneumonia. For the rest of us the Coronavirus will pass through like most any other form of flu, and I’m not even worried whether I get infected.

Went to Costco AGAIN to pick up new glasses and return something the wife didn't like.  It was pretty quiet, nothing out of stock that I saw.

Getting started on taxes.

I'd prefer not to get any flu, it can be unpleasant of course, but I don't think it would kill me.
