Fascinating dichotomy.  I don't think I've seen such a wide spread on a question.

Question 18C
Do you trust Fauci?
A lot:

  • Biden Supporters:  76%
  • Trump Supporters:  4%

Distrust a lot:

  • Biden Supporters:    2%
  • Trump Supporters:  51%

JOE BATTENFELD: Despite scoffing by liberal media, Trump’s claim of vaccine eligibility by April comes true

Quote
But it would be good if every president was held to the same standard.
The Washington Post story last September alleged that Trump contradicted his own health team which said the general public was unlikely to get the vaccine until the second and third quarters of 2021.
Here’s what Trump said: “Hundreds of millions of doses will be available every month, and we expect to have enough vaccines for every American by April.”
This statement wasn’t far off from reality — in fact, the general public will be able to get vaccines later this month and some states are actually ahead of that timeline.
But because this was Trump and the Post, the headline scoffed that he made the claim “without evidence.”
In fact the Trump administration had already set in motion plans to buy hundreds of millions of doses of vaccine, which would be enough to cover every American. Not sure what evidence the Post was looking for.
This week Biden made the not-so-bold declaration that all adults will become eligible for the vaccine by April 19. This was actual earlier than Biden had initially predicted — he moved up the timeline.
So when Biden makes a bold prediction that’s leadership. When Trump does it he’s a farce.

I trust him for some things, if I can verify otherwise.  His shifting views on how we could have prevented half a million dead is a concern to me.

If I had a job and a voice and could save 300,000 by speaking out even at the risk of losing that job, I would do it, in all cases.  Being fired makes me a celebrity, and I would use that soapbox relentlessly to advocate for the policies I thought would save lives.  He said earlier Trump did everything he recommended, now he changes his tune.

I think I answered that a year ago when I called him Fauci the Fake.

Dr. Anthony Fauci: It's 'common sense' to wear two masks instead of one

He's a charlatan.

I don't mind if an "expert" changes his view based on new data or analysis, fine with me.  I'm not sure who listens to him now anyway about anything.

Things seem to be rolling along without him.

Apparently, 76% of Biden voters listen to the charlatan.

  • Anthony Fauci credits lockdowns for beating the virus in Europe (July 31)
  • Anthony Fauci touts New York as a model for Covid containment (June-December)

Has he been saying much of any relevance to anyone lately?

I know folks are concerned about the variants.  Europe is having a hard time and often that migrates here in a few weeks, but our vaccination numbers look very good.  I think we're nearly on top of this thing.  And yes, we could get a smaller burst soon.

Based on "elevator talk" everyone around us has at least the first vaccine.

Has he said anything notable in public lately that could be distrusted, or not?

I understand he's the highest paid civilian in the Biden administration.

The highest paid government employee.

Is that a motive for the illusion of being all knowing? (job security)

Someone post his salary............
