It's amusing that Fuzz would want to taunt Tennesseans about Confederate statues when Tennessee passed the 13th Ammendment freeing slaves almost a full year before New Jersey.
Either Fuzz has a complete ignorance of history or he feels the need to put others down in order to inflate his own ego.
First of all... Texie, touche'.
Drew, "Obamacare" is a media construct, too. So what?
Roady, that's good for Tennessee, but this isn't New Jersey vs. Tennessee. If all you native born Tennesseans regret the outcome of the Civil War, then so be it. Just come out and say so and look forward to the HBO series called Confederate with that premise. If you are proud of the South's racist history and want to see it publicly celebrated, then so be it. Again, just come out and say it.
The Confederacy lost a long time ago. That is not a reflection on modern-day Southerners. Your personal style, your dialect, your music, your entire cultural heritage are still in tact. You
should be disappointed in the moral and political treason of "your ancestors," and if anything, publicly celebrate that they lost the war. There should certainly be no public celebration of "Confederate heroes."
Too many Southerners need to stop being so defensive, get over their inferiority complex, and reconsider what art is worthy of our public square.
