Islam Built on Violence, Murder, and War

Islam Built on Violence, Murder, and War
Islam is violent and repressive, and its sacred texts are the heart of darkness at the center of the Islamic State’s inspiration and motivation, despite Barack Obama’s assertions in September 10th’s address to the nation that the Islamic State “is not Islamic” and that “no religion condones the killing of innocents.” Violence is an integral part of Islamic doctrine, following the example set by its Prophet Mohammed, and in the name of Islam and Allah, Muslims have been murdering innocents, since 656 AD.
Six hundred years after Mohammed, one of Islam’s most respected scholars, Ibn Khuldan wrote ‘Muqaddimah’ (Introduction to History), which explained: “In the Muslim community, the holy war is religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or force.”

Like most good Muslims, Khaldun’s inspiration came from ‘The Verse of the Sword’, Sura 9:5, “revealed” towards the end of Mohammed’s life, as well as similar themes previous to Sura 9:
Sura 9:5__ “…kill the Mushrikun (unbelievers) wherever you find them … But if they repent and perform As-Salat/ Iqamat-as-Salat [the Islamic ritual prayers], then leave their way free…” Also Sura 9:33__ “It is He [Allah] Who has sent His Messenger [Mohammed] with guidance and the religion of truth [Islam], to make it superior over all religions…”
The Hindu Kush, seventy-five thousand square miles between Afghanistan and Pakistan, was populated by Hindus until approximately 1000 AD and the Muslim invasions. An estimated 60 million Hindus were murdered by Muslims over a thousand year reign, and Hindu Kush is the Muslim name for the region. It means “Hindu Killer.”
Now today, the majority of the Muslim community worldwide, including the U.S., does not completely frown on their “holy warriors” in the Islamic State, Al Qaeda, Jaamat e-Islami and any other terror group one cares to mention, for fear of being called heretics or apostates themselves. The murderous “holy warriors” are following a literal interpretation of Koranic scripture, without omissions, innovation or revision. By contrast, heretical views deviate from doctrine.

The 2013 PEW Poll of the Muslim World shows that the majority of Muslims, in several countries, support the death penalty for Muslims who leave Islam, including Malaysia (58%), Egypt (88%), Jordan (83%), Afghanistan (79%), Gaza and the West Bank (62%) and Pakistan (75%); in 2006, a poll for ‘The Sunday Telegraph’ found 40% of British Muslims wanted Sharia Law in the UK and 20% supported the 7/7 bombers. And alarmingly, in 2011 nineteen percent of American Muslims stated they viewed Al Qaeda favorably, while a new poll shows 16% of the French population view the Islamic State favorably.
Are you beginning to see a pattern here?
Logical minded Americans were not fooled by the big lie Obama delivered before the United Nations on September 24th, when he spoke of Islam’s “great tradition that stands for … the dignity of life, not murder.” Americans see a significant number of Muslims still support Sharia Law, slavery, rape and Islamic inspired violence and murder in this 21st century, and rather than “a religion of peace,” Islam always has been and always will be an ideology of violence and conquest.

Don’t get me wrong. I am thankful for the many Muslims who simply adhere to the first early peaceful verses of the Koran, but let’s not allow that to dissuade us from seeing and revealing the fact that Islam was propagated through violence, staying with Mohammed’s teachings, and it is still utilizing violence today. This can clearly be seen by examining the teachings of Islam, the daily news reports and practically any good, scholarly history book.

One problem in Islamic tradition, affirmed by many scholars, is the doctrine of abrogation, which states that later revelation to Mohammed supersedes prior revelation. And the Koranic verses ordering Muslims to fight and slay infidels, Christians and Jews came after those admonishing Muslims to live with non-believers in peace and without religious compulsion.

As Obama spoke before the UN, he called on the Islamic nations and their leaders to address the spread of “extremism,” full well knowing that he was speaking to the very advocates of Wahabbist fundamentalism, other Islamic orthodoxies and proponents of inflexible, intolerant Islamic scholars, the likes of Sayyid Qutb. Saudi Arabia and Qatar, for example, have supported terrorism and financed the spread of Wahabbism and Qutb’s Islamic philosophy globally, including in America, for decades.

And now Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and several others, who helped create, train and fund the Islamic State, are screaming for the U.S. and the West to end the vicious advance of the Islamic State. They look to destroy the Islamic State, only because they can no longer control its self-appointed “caliph,” Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who has announced his intentions to take Mecca and Medina; so, it is fear of losing their power and their regimes that motivates them, not any disagreement with the Islamic State’s implementation of jihad and the violent doctrines of Islam.
What about the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hezb’allah, which means “the party of Allah,” and Hamas, which means “Islamic Resistance Movement”? Does Obama deem these Islamic entities “not Islamic” too?
As Obama appealed to young Muslims to follow their “great tradition [Islam] that stands for education … innovation, not destruction,” he must have intentionally forgotten some of the other traditions of Islam. The recent spate of beheadings of Westerners by the Islamic State is only the old made new again, and although horrible beyond belief, they actually pale in comparison to the heinous atrocities committed in the name of Allah across the centuries. Three thousand Catholic nuns were raped at the Church of St Sophia during the sacking of Constantinople in 1453, and many other women and children were simply torn to pieces.

Hadith 107:13_ It was shown the Prophet said, “Allah wrote everything we need to know about Ihsan [kindness] so if you kill, perfect your killing and if you slaughter, perfect your slaughter, perfect your slaughter and sharpen your blade and comfort your sacrifice.”

Koran 8:12 “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”
Millions of devout fundamentalist orthodox Muslims, devout in the manner of Osama bin Laden, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, are making preparations and have already been waging a divinely endorsed war against Europe, America and Israel. And, rather than continue against all reason and, in the light of Islam’s sacred texts, to propagate the lie that “Islam is peace,” which is placing America within a quagmire of reoccurring expansionist jihad, this administration and future administrations must cut all funding to all Islamic nations and acknowledge that “extremism” and violence are the basis of Islam, if America is to win the future war against Islam.

President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

So, hopefully folks appreciate this is a proposed resolution that would DICTATE nothing.

Maybe not.  Some seem to think if this passes somehow another actual law will pass, which is nonsensical if you think about that for two seconds.

Muslims were never "advanced."
Persians were quite advanced, and were then subsumed by Muslim thought.
But they are two different things....

The Muslim Golden Age was very advanced relative to Europe.  And yes, they borrowed technology and learning from others, but they welcomed it and set up learning centers and hospitals and recorded ancient learnings tried to learn more.  The downfall was the Mongols when they sacked Babylon, the center of Islamic learning at the time.

Europe was a mess during this period, a collection of monarchs warring with each other often and your average common man was in dire straits.  When colonization provided untold wealth, Europe had the resources to start appreciating learning, even though that effort often was fought by The Church obviously.

I'm currently reading a book on the life of Isaac Newton, I recently finished on entitled Salt.  Both really depict how hard it was circa 1400 and 1600 to progress new learning in Europe because of the Church while the Muslims lauded it and encouraged it.

We'd likely all be Muslim except for the Mongols.

Another two recommended books:

How the West Won: The Neglected Story of the Triumph of Modernity

How the West Won demonstrates the primacy of uniquely Western ideas―among them the belief in free will, the commitment to the pursuit of knowledge, the notion that the universe functions according to rational rules that can be discovered, and the emphasis on human freedom and secure property rights.

Taking readers on a thrilling journey from ancient Greece to the present, Stark challenges much of the received wisdom about Western history. How the West Won shows, for example:

• Why the fall of Rome was the single most beneficial event in the rise of Western civilization
• Why the “Dark Ages” never happened
• Why the Crusades had nothing to do with grabbing loot or attacking the Muslim world unprovoked
• Why there was no “Scientific Revolution” in the seventeenth century
• Why scholars’ recent efforts to dismiss the importance of battles are ridiculous: had the Greeks lost at the Battle of Marathon, we probably would never have heard of Plato or Aristotle
Stark also debunks absurd fabrications that have flourished in the past few decades: that the Greeks stole their culture from Africa; that the West’s “discoveries” were copied from the Chinese and Muslims; that Europe became rich by plundering the non-Western world. At the same time, he reveals the woeful inadequacy of recent attempts to attribute the rise of the West to purely material causes―favorable climates, abundant natural resources, guns and steel.

The Victory of Reason: How Christianity Led to Freedom, Capitalism, and Western Success

Christian theology, Stark asserts, is the very font of reason: While the world’s other great belief systems emphasized mystery, obedience, or introspection, Christianity alone embraced logic and reason as the path toward enlightenment, freedom, and progress. That is what made all the difference. In explaining the West’s dominance, Stark convincingly debunks long-accepted “truths.” For instance, by contending that capitalism thrived centuries before there was a Protestant work ethic–or even Protestants–he counters the notion that the Protestant work ethic was responsible for kicking capitalism into overdrive. In the fifth century, Stark notes, Saint Augustine celebrated theological and material progress and the institution of “exuberant invention.” By contrast, long before Augustine, Aristotle had condemned commercial trade as “inconsistent with human virtue”–which helps further underscore that Augustine’s times were not the Dark Ages but the incubator for the West’s future glories. This is a sweeping, multifaceted survey that takes readers from the Old World to the New, from the past to the present, overturning along the way not only centuries of prejudiced scholarship but the antireligious bias of our own time. The Victory of Reason proves that what we most admire about our world–scientific progress, democratic rule, free commerce–is largely due to Christianity, through which we are all inheritors of this grand tradition.

The notion Europe did not get rich by plundering the colonies is, to me, absurd on its face.

The notion that many key inventions didn't originate in China is equally absurd.

I'd agree the term "Dark Ages" is qualitative and not very descriptive, but it also is true that western Europe was far behind the Islamic areas circa 800-1300 AD.

it was overwhelmingly the dhimmis, or conquered Christians and Jews living under Muslim domination, who did most “Arab” science. They are the ones who did most of the translating into Arabic.

For example, it was Nestorian Christians who primarily collected, translated and oversaw the Greek manuscripts as they were translated into Arabic and Syriac. And Muslim or Arab “medicine was in fact Nestorian Christian medicine; even the leading Muslim and Arab physicians were trained at the enormous Nestorian medical center at Nisibus in Syria.”

In science and engineering, very little of the achievements can be traced to Arab origins. Instead, they originated with the conquered populations. “Many of the Muslim world’s most famous scholars were Persians, not Arabs. This includes Avicenna … as well as Omar Khayyam, al-Biruni, and Razi….

“This list could be extended for several pages. What may have misled so many historians is that most contributors to ‘Arabic science’ were given Muslim names and their works were published in Arabic, that being the official language of the land.”

So too mathematics: “The so-called Arabic numerals were entirely of Hindu origin. The splendid Hindu numbering system based on the concept of zero was, in fact, published in Arabic, but only mathematicians adopted it – other Muslims continued to use their cumbersome traditional system.”

Even the much acclaimed Islamic architecture “turns out to have been mainly a dhimmi achievement, adapted from Persian and Byzantine origins.” Moreover, “many famous Muslim mosques were originally built as Christian churches and converted by merely adding external minarets and redecorating the interiors.”

Plundered?  They brought civilization to places that would otherwise still be completely undeveloped today with life expectancy in the 20's.

The Arabs did welcome technology from other places, no doubt, major innovations like say paper, math, astronomy, chemistry, gunpowder, ...

How many Americans helped developed the atomic bomb?  There were some of course.  Or the space program?  We also borrowed and were accepting of the learnings of others, which is better than repressing it.

The Muslim world had these things well before Western Europe did, for a reason.  They were interested in stuff.

And to think Western Europe did not plunder wealth from the colonies is rather a remarkable assertion to me.  Suffice it to say I find that hysterically wrong.  I guess the Spanish were just interested in bringing Christianity to South America and the gold and silver thing was just a minor aside.

The epitaph on his tomb initially read "First Muslim Nobel Laureate". The word "Muslim" was later obscured on the orders of a local magistrate, leaving "First Nobel Laureate". Under Ordinance XX, Being an Ahmadiyya, he was considered a non-Muslim according to the definition provided in the II Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan.

TOTAL: 193 (ONE HUNDRED NINETY THREE) Nobel Prize Recipients!

Muslims and anti-Semitic Islamic sympathizers would claim these statistics prove how discriminated against the Muslim community really is. Before you go and start hysterically ranting about how racist this list is, keep in mind it is only to show by comparison the emphasis placed on art, education, science, and the advancement of mankind by these two groups. It is not that Muslims are intellectually inferior, it is that Islam is only interested in Islam and anything that is not Islamic is not encouraged and in many instances, it is outright forbidden.

Muslims are quick to point out how advanced the Islamic culture was 1000 years ago and how European Christians (and Jews) were behind Muslims in technology. This is certainly not the case now. The Industrial Revolution practically bypassed the entire Muslim world as though they did not exist. If not for the discovery of oil by American and British scientists and the advanced technology to drill for oil from Western Cultures, Muslims would not be living the elegant lifestyle they live in Saudi Arabia, Qutar, Kuwait, and the other rich oil producing Muslim countries.
Muslim countries produce very little, if anything, in terms of high technology as compared to the Western World. The high standard of living they have is due to Western Culture and the oil rich land they have. The world runs on oil and they happen to control one of the many supplies, which they often hire Westerners to build, operate, and maintain. They produce no airplanes, automobiles, computers, medical, or scientific advancements. They produce little to nothing that advances civilization and mankind. They send their students around the world to Western Universities for higher education. They import most of their food. The only thing they produce in abundance is Islam. Without the "Infidels" providing all of the high technology they use in their everyday lives, they would live a pretty meager existence.

It's a book, so maybe it's so:

During the period of the medieval Islamic Caliphate, however, life expectancy at birth of the general population was relatively high, above 35 years, according to Conrad Lawrence (1995) in the book, The Western Medical Tradition: 800 BC to AD 1800. This is greater than longevity figures estimated for late medieval English aristocracy (30 years), and for populations in classical Greece (28 years) and classical Rome (20-30 years).

No doubt that last citation will be discounted as biased and revisionist and written by Muslims, etc.  Even if parts of it are true, it's impressive, and something we were not taught back in the day.  One has to read on one's own later in life to learn how much of what we were taught was not true, or was taught from a Western-centric POV.

How many here have read about inventions from China back in the day?
