Dr. Deborah Birx on Friday announced a “dramatic decline” in coronavirus deaths and hospitalizations across the country, particularly in the New York City metro area.

"A dramatic decline across the states" has also been seen in the positivity rate, as testing capabilities are expanded, said Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, during a briefing with reporters.

Now that the Dems CV 19 scare/panic agenda has run it’s course the narrative will now switch to “if only we had more tests at the beginning” and how many lives needlessly were lost

I wonder which other novel, undiscovered viruses we should develop tests for at this time?

As usual the Democrats will ignore the biggest scandal, which in this case was the boneheaded decision by New York and Michigan among others mandating that nursing homes accept covid19 positive patients into their facilities.

The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History
By John Berry

In discussing the Spanish Flu of 1918

page 370:
"Individual cases continued to occur after that, but the explosion of disease ended, and it ended abruptly.   A graph of cases would look like a bell curve - but one chopped off almost like a cliff just after the peak, with new cases suddenly dropping to next to nothing."

He goes on to note that there was a mild second wave and then a more virulent third wave (more deadly than the 2nd but much less than the 3rd), but the spread was much more modest.

Why is this a thing?

I see Fixed is pushing this BS, and you guys are parroting it like bunch of starved sheep, but why?

12 different states did this, and it was a federally mandated CDC guideline. They weren't all democratic states either.

Also, since when did the government (local) control hospitals? Hospitals are private businesses.

So, why are you guys bringing this up?

Another push by Fixed to get out in front of Cuomo in case Biden drops out and he becomes the frontrunner conspiracy?

The CDC mandated nothing, all they issued was guidelines.
President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

Florida didn't do it - and their death rate was much, much lower.
New York is saying it was "forced" to do so?
I don't think so.

Uh, no.

Hospitals and nursing homes are private businesses. The state has nothing to do with it.

Three states hit hard by the pandemic — New York, New Jersey and California — have ordered nursing homes and other long-term care

On March 25, New York became the first state to issue a blanket rule prohibiting nursing homes from denying admission or readmission to residents because they are infected with COVID-19, and banned the facilities from testing patients for the disease before they are admitted.

“He might die,” Katarzyna Lewczuk said, worried about her father.  "The last time I saw him was on Valentine’s Day,” she told NY1 as she choked back tears.

Her father is in a nursing home and was diagnosed with COVID-19. It’s a fear thousands of families of nursing home residents face, made worse some say, by New York State’s March 25th mandate that nursing homes cannot deny “re-admission or admission…solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19.”

"The state Department of Health and the attorney general are going to be commencing an investigation to make sure (state) policies are in place and being followed," Cuomo said Thursday.

"If they're not being followed, (the nursing homes) can face a fine or they can lose their license. It's that simple."

Well now, this is interesting....

Study: A majority of the population may have 'some degree' of preexisting immunity to COVID-19
Study: A majority of the population may have 'some degree' of preexisting immunity to COVID-19...

"A new study from scientists in the United States suggests that a significant majority of the population may already have some level of immunity to the coronavirus, a possible explanation for why so many individuals seem to experience few to no symptoms from the disease.

The study, written by researchers in California, New York and North Carolina and soon to be published in the journal Cell, discovered that certain types of cells in blood samples taken from donors in 2015-2018—well before COVID-19 arose—were reactive against the COVID-19 virus. In other words, those blood samples were at least partially immune from the coronavirus even though they had never been exposed to it.

"CD4+ T cell responses were detected in 40-60% of unexposed individuals. This may be reflective of some degree of crossreactive, preexisting immunity to SARS- CoV-2 in some, but not all, individuals," the researchers state in the paper..."
