Anyone buying fewer Coke products?

I'll probably still fly Delta, but will fly another airline if possible - so fewer Delta flights in any case.

Probably need to drink fewer sodas in general, but I'm going to support smaller guys - Cheerwine, RC Cola, etc. when given the option.

I don’t really consume soda, other than a sprite at times to dilute my bourbon.

The little lady is an avid cola drinker, however.  And she has migrated to Pepsi, even though she likes it less than Coke, solely stemming from the “be less white” controversy.

I even bought Kroger brand Big K lemon lime in lieu of Sprite the last grocery trip.

I was always a coca cola guy, not pepsi, not RC or anything else

But several years ago, I learned how toxic and harmful all such cola products are, and I totally quit.  I tried coke zero then learned that is just as bad if not worse than the almost pure sugar coke.

Water and beer and wine for me.

I miss coke, but now, more than ever, I have consumed my last coca cola product.

Drinking up whats in stock and not buying more. Almost a million miles on Delta, so I guess I will continue unless there is a better alternative.

I used to prefer Coke, especially the fountain variety, many years ago (before high fructose corn syrup).  Now Pepsi and Coke are more or less interchangeable for me and I'll buy whichever one is on sale at the store.  If it's the same price I split my purchase 50/50.  It was time to restock today and Coke was on sale, but I went with Pepsi instead.

I never did like Coke so I was a 7-Up or Sprite guy. I stopped drinking sodas about seven or eight years ago at least. Mostly drink tea nowadays. So they've missed my business for years.

I have flown 1.3 million miles on Delta but I hadn't flown since 2007. Contrary to what they say you don't lose your Frequent Flyer miles. I still have the same amount of  unused  miles that I had in 2007.

True.  But Coke has a huge embedded customer base.
Buy a combo meal at McDonalds? You're buying a Coke product.

But I want to consciously buy from smaller firms if I have the option.
Kinda tired of the big corporate bullies who think that they are impervious.

I have cut way back on fast food for sure.

Avoid Coke products any time I can.

Investors like Coke's report, the price went up a bit, and it's usually very stable. Folks like me own it for the dividend.

I've noted before how all these "boycotts" of companies like Fox News, Nike, Disney, Netflix, Facebook, whoever, often have no impact on those companies.  A lot of it is just TALK, not real concerted action.  Their market values continue to rise.

We should start a fund buying only "unpopular" stocks around here, it would make a bundle.

Clearly from this thread alone, you can see that it's not "All Talk".

Enjoy your dividends.

I'm sure some folks will limits their purchases, or intend to, for a bit, and then forget and go back to normal.

I really doubt it has a material impact on Coke stock.  It reminds me of the "abandon Fox News" story, and Netflix, Facebook, you name it.  They've all done very well since then.  I can't recall the last time some social boycott hurt some company that otherwise was doing OK.

Coca-Cola (KO) Q1 2021 earnings beat Street estimates (cnbc.com)

The company reiterated its full-year forecast of organic revenue growth in the high single digits and adjusted earnings growth in a range of high single digits to low double digits.
CFO John Murphy told analysts that uncertainty still remains. India and parts of Europe are responding to spikes in new Covid-19 cases with lockdowns, while Latin America and Africa are expecting slower vaccine distribution and new waves. Quincey echoed that sentiment.
“The breaking news today is that the weekly new cases of Covid has hit an all-time peak, so while vaccinations are rising in many countries — U.S., U.K., et cetera — the flip side is there’s actually a new high in terms of cases,” Quincey said.
He added that April has started well for Coke, but the looming risk of new lockdowns could reverse that progress.

When the stimulus money runs out along with the extra unemployment money that's when the companies like Coke will feel the affect along with restaurants and other small business.

People are now spending money they normally don't have like a drunken sailor.  Instead of catching up their bills and house payments they're living the good life democrats have them fooled into thinking will last.

They think it will last forever but those chickens are coming home to roost. Banks and mortgage companies will start foreclosing on homes, repossessing cars and cutting off utilities unless our communists leaders in the democrat party pass laws forbidding it.

If everyone is thinking alike then somebody isn't thinking.
